White Lies are already gaining a lot of fame, we’ve been meaning to write about them for quite some time but they’ve always seemed to be pushed to the next day since we started this site. When asked for the meaning behind their name “Why White Lies? Because white lies are common but quite dark, and that’s how we see ourselves,” This is quite clearly seen in their music

Now i’ve been listening to this for a while, having it been out for about 6 months now, and i know its not really electro, or indie…in fact, its quite far away from there, but we at ElectroIndie love our music, good music. no matter what type. So then, on with the post.
Stateless are a British band, described as a Alternative rock/Trip-hop band. Yeah, i know that’s pretty wide reaching, but belive me its good!
The singer (and songwriter of this band) has even impressed DJ Shadow, the godfather of instrumental hip hop and inventor of trip-hop, so their pretty good then. This song was from single released with Gavin Castleton providing some help, both with production, songwriting and vocals. The song is called Window 23, and to be honest, you just have to listen to it to get why its on here. Lyrically stunning.

We at Electro-Indie.com love the Wombats in-fact personally they were one of the bands that inspired my interest in Indie music. I first saw them live supporting the Holloways in Brighton, they were unsigned and almost completely unknown outside Liverpool. They had so much energy and stage presence and the couple of songs they played while supporting left me with far more enjoyment than the entire Holloways set. Since then I’ve been to more of their live tours, watched them get signed and shoot to fame. It’s been an exciting road and we’re so happy for the success that they’ve had. I still have a couple of tracks hanging around that have dropped from public view, they were from a self financed EP they released in Japan only before they were signed.
Enjoy

The Wombats – Caravan in Wales
The Wombats – Sunday T.V.

Port Blue is the ambient side project of Adam Young, better known for his musical projects Owl City and Swimming With Dolphins. Photography is also a big part of this project, hence the picture above.
This is music to sleep to, to gaze out to the sea with, to imagine flying through clouds in your daydreams, the music you would hear in airports and supermarkets and the sound of the oceans.
This is Port Blue.
